XMetric — Privacy Policy

XMetric (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile engineering unit converter. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. We have tried to keep the app’s data footprint as small as possible.

Summary

• The app has no user accounts and asks for no personal information.
• Your favorites, recent conversions, and settings are stored only on your device.
• The app displays ads through Google AdMob, which collects limited device and usage data to serve those ads.
• Ads are non-personalized — we do not request permission to track you across other apps or websites, and never use your advertising identifier.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Information stored on your device

Conversions you pin as favorites, your recent conversions, and preferences are saved locally on your device (including in shared local storage so a home-screen widget, where available, can display them). This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you delete the app.

Advertising

XMetric shows banner ads using Google AdMob, configured to serve non-personalized ads only. We do not request permission to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and the app does not use your device’s advertising identifier for ad personalization. Ads are chosen using limited contextual information (such as your general region and device type) rather than your individual activity or interests. Google’s advertising technology may still process information such as IP address and device/app information needed to deliver and measure any ad. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us. Analytics

The app does not include separate third-party analytics beyond what the AdMob advertising SDK requires to serve and measure ads.

Children’s privacy

XMetric is a general-purpose engineering tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Clear your favorites and recent conversions from within the app.
• Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.

Data security

Because the app keeps its data on your device and does not run its own servers or accounts, there is no XMetric account database to breach. Data handled by Google AdMob is protected under Google’s own security practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
